Lotierzo’s Santa Rita Hills Pinot Noir 2018 chalked up a lofty 93 points for its “rich expression of Pinot Noir,” eclipsed only by a 94-point rating earned by the vintner’s “deftly blended” Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve 2016. Based on the Wine Spectator 100-Point Scale, scores in the 90-94 quality range indicate “Outstanding; a wine of superior quality and style.” Both reviews issued from the pen and palate of renowned wine writer Rich Cook, Chief Judge at the Monterey International Wine Competition since 2011.
