The creative work of Keenan-Nagle Advertising (K-N) won two top ADDY awards at the 22nd annual American Advertising Awards held on March 14. The program is sponsored by the national American Advertising Federation (AAF) and its Greater Lehigh Valley chapter.
A Gold ADDY award was won by K-N in the Online/Interactive Campaign category for a digital ad series created for Musselman Jewelers of Bethlehem. As a gold winner, the entry now progresses to the next regional level of AAF competition; winners at that level become finalists in the national AAF American Advertising Awards.
K-N was also honored with a Judge’s Choice Award in the Online/Interactive Digital Publications Campaign category for a monthly blog produced for Moravian Village of Bethlehem. The AAF judge who singled out the K-N entry for its copywriting quality was Silver Cuellar III, Creative Director at Tombras Group of Knoxville, TN and a former Senior Art Director at international ad agency BBDO.
In his decision to award K-N the distinction, Cuellar wrote: “The writing was charming and colloquial. It filled me with such delight. If I was in the mindset of retiring to a community such as this, or having a loved one in such a community, those simple blog entries were so well written I’d have no questions as to the quality of life to be had.”
The awards event was held at Cedar Crest College with an estimated 150 advertising/marketing professionals and university students of design/communication studies in attendance. Mike Keenan, Keenan-Nagle Advertising President, accepted the awards on behalf of the Allentown- based agency.
