Keenan-Nagle Advertising, Inc., the Lehigh Valley’s longest-serving advertising/marketing agency, noted its 70th consecutive year in business with an open house celebrating the milestone at its Allentown headquarters. Leading the festivities at the family-run firm were President Michael C. Keenan and Vice President/Partner Kristin M. Keenan. More than 100 clients, business colleagues, dignitaries and family members were in attendance. On full display were dozens of national awards and the creative work which earned the recognition.
Among the guests were multiple leaders of prominent Lehigh Valley businesses which have been K-N clients for several years. The longest-tenured of those in attendance was James G. Deiter, President of Deiter Bros. Heating Cooling Energy and a K-N client since 1978.
“The K-N team has proven through more than 45 years to be a trusted partner, playing a key role in building the Deiter Bros. brand and consistently supporting our marketing efforts with responsive service and valuable expertise,” Deiter said.
Keenan-Nagle (K-N) provides strategic marketing, branding, creative design and content, web services and multi-platform media management for businesses, institutions and community organizations throughout the Greater Lehigh Valley region.
The agency was founded in 1954 by Theodore “Ted” Roosevelt Berger who partnered in the 1960’s with prominent Allentown ad man Martin Ritter to form Ritter-Berger, Inc. Mike Keenan joined Ritter-Berger in 1975 as a copywriter. He and partners purchased the firm in 1985 to form Helriegel-Keenan Advertising. In 1990 Keenan bought out the partners and formed Keenan-Nagle Advertising with graphic design professional Don Nagle.
With Nagle’s retirement in 2005, Keenan acquired full ownership and led the firm for 16 years. In 2021 he recruited daughter Kristin, then a 20-year healthcare professional specializing in high-risk obstetrics and gynecology, to join the family business as Vice President. In 2023, she was named a shareholding partner and represents the next level of continued leadership and client service for the agency.
